Split the song with the stem splitter and convert the bass, vocals or other stem on its own for a cleaner result. with the stem splitter. It asks for your email once per browser.

One instrument per file.

What you get

Octave-aware

A second listener tracks the single pitch line down to a low E, so notes land in the octave you played, not the harmonic.

Bass range only

E1 to G4. Anything the model hears outside that range is discarded, which is most of the false notes on a bass take.

Slides and bends kept

Pitch bends from the tracker go into the MIDI, so a slide up to the fifth stays a slide.

A bass line you can edit

The MIDI opens on a bass instrument in your DAW with tempo and key set; the score shows the line in bass clef; the piano roll plays it back so you can catch a missed note before you commit it.

Does it handle a five-string bass?

Yes. The range starts at B0 when the recording has notes below E1; the tracker follows a single line, whatever the tuning.

The bass is inside a full song. What do I do?

Split it out first with the stem splitter (All stems mode gives you the bass stem) and upload that here. One instrument per file gives the model a fair hearing.

Why is a note an octave off?

A bass fundamental is quiet and its harmonics loud, which fools polyphonic transcribers. This page runs a second, monophonic tracker that decides the octave, and the mono switch in the settings turns it on or off.

What do I get back?

A MIDI file on a bass instrument, MusicXML in bass clef, a printable score and a piano roll with playback. It asks for your email once per browser.
