What is inside

The same two neural networks as the site, built into one app that runs on your Mac, with a few things only a native app can do.

Drums to MIDI, on the MacDrop a WAV drum loop and DrumTranscriber v2 turns it into a 16th-note grid across eleven General MIDI drum classes. The model runs on your machine; the audio never leaves it.
The drum generatorCedarGrooveNET continues whatever is on the grid: a loop you dropped, a MIDI file, or a beat you drew. Temperature, Density, Velocity and Humanize shape the result.
Genres, style presets, InfluenceA reference genre guides where the kicks and snares land, a style preset narrows it (House Style 2 Deep, DnB Style 1 Atmospheric) and the Influence knob sets how hard it pulls. Groove templates, from MPC swing to an 808 shuffle, shape the timing feel.
Draw, edit, lockClick to draw, drag for velocity, mute or solo a drum, lock a row so it survives the next generation, and keep four patterns in slots A to D.
Drag the MIDI into your DAWThe MIDI handle drags a Standard MIDI File straight into Logic, Ableton, Cubase or any DAW. General MIDI drum map, channel 10, velocities kept.
BPM Sync and MIDI LearnSync the tempo instead of typing it, and map any knob to a hardware controller with MIDI Learn. Preview with the built-in kit, a master volume and a playhead you can seek.
Offline and privateNo server, no account, no upload. ONNX Runtime and both trained models (CedarGrooveNET v2.2 and DrumTranscriber v2) ship inside the app, so it works on a plane.

What it looks like

The grid. Rows are drums, columns are sixteenths. Blue is what you gave it, pink is what the model wrote, and the playhead runs across both; the lock at the left keeps a row as it is when you generate again.

The controls. Temperature is how adventurous, Density how busy, Velocity how hard, Humanize how loose. Groove and Amount set the feel, bars and BPM the length and tempo, and the genre, style and Influence steer the model.

Generate and export. Generate Groove runs the model, Fill replaces the last bar, undo keeps the last runs. Drag the MIDI handle into your DAW.
