Terms of Use

Last updated 24 September 2026. By using this site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, do not use it.

Who we are

CedarGroove is operated by Cedar Digital ("we", "us"), PO Box 76899, Cambridge, MA 02140, United States. Contact: privacy@cedargroove.com.

Your content is your responsibility

Everything you upload or create with these tools (audio files, MIDI, patterns, separated stems) is your content. You confirm that you own it or have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process it, including any copyright, performance or publishing rights in a recording or composition.

We do not review, screen or check uploads, and we accept no responsibility for them. Uploading pirated, infringing or otherwise unlawful audio is prohibited, and you alone are responsible for any claim that arises from what you upload, what you make from it, and how you use the result. You agree to cover us for any loss, cost or claim caused by your content or your breach of these terms.

The tools are for your own lawful use. Do not use them to infringe anyone's rights, to break a law, or to attack or overload the service.

We keep none of it

Files sent to the drum transcriber or the drum generator are not retained: they are discarded as soon as the result is returned. Files sent for stem separation or audio-to-MIDI are kept while the job runs and for one hour afterwards so you can download the result, and earlier if you cancel the job. The MIDI from an audio-to-MIDI transcription stays in your account for twelve months, or until you delete it. We do not listen to your files and we do not use them to train anything.

What we do keep is described on the privacy page: an email address if you give one, and anonymous usage counts.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content processed through this site infringes your copyright, email privacy@cedargroove.com with a description of the work, the material you believe infringes it, your contact details and a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. Because uploads are not retained, in most cases there is nothing left to remove, but we will respond to every notice.

The service, as is

The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Model output is automatic and can be wrong: transcriptions miss or misplace hits, separations leave bleed between stems, generated patterns are suggestions. Check results before you rely on them.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, work or revenue, arising from the use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars if you paid nothing.

We may change, limit or withdraw the tools, and change these terms, at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Your account and email

Where the site asks for an email address, you agree to give one you control. We use it only as the privacy page says. We may refuse or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and any dispute is brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
